Job Overview

As an Advanced Salesforce Software Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead the development of sophisticated Salesforce-based solutions that power our enterprise operations. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will enhance and maintain critical software components within our Salesforce ecosystem, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive innovation in cloud-based CRM platforms. This hybrid role, based out of our Hamilton, NJ location, offers the flexibility to collaborate in-person and remotely while contributing to high-impact projects that support Honeywell's global business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced Salesforce custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce to meet enterprise-scale requirements.
  • Lead end-to-end software development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Enhance and maintain core Salesforce modules, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom integrations with ERP systems like SAP.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and stakeholders, to define technical roadmaps and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to uphold best practices and Salesforce platform governance.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and third-party services to enable seamless data flow and automation.

  • Proven experience in full-stack development using Apex, Lightning, and Salesforce APIs (experience)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and security best practices (experience)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Salesforce Architect or Advanced Administrator certification (experience)
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Heroku, or Salesforce Einstein AI integrations (experience)
  • Prior work in manufacturing, aerospace, or enterprise CRM environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex triggers, classes, and Lightning Web Components
  • Lead the customization and configuration of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud portals
  • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools
  • Perform code optimization, debugging, and performance tuning for high-volume Salesforce orgs
  • Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, UAT) and deploy releases using Salesforce DX and Gearset
  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs and user stories
  • Monitor system health, proactively identify issues, and implement automation via Flows and Process Builder
