Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced software components for services and connectivity platforms, utilizing modern cloud-native architectures.
  • Enhance and maintain critical software systems, implementing optimizations to improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems, leveraging root cause analysis and proactive monitoring.
  • Drive innovation by prototyping and integrating emerging technologies such as IoT protocols, edge computing, and real-time data analytics.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality, secure software solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for software engineering excellence.

  • Strong experience with troubleshooting complex software issues in production systems (experience)
  • Hands-on expertise in optimizing software performance for high-availability applications (experience)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model from Krakow, Poland, with occasional international travel (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Google Cloud Professional, or ISTQB (experience)
  • Experience in IoT connectivity, aerospace software, or industrial services platforms (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable microservices and APIs for connectivity platforms using Java, Python, or C++
  • Develop and maintain software for real-time data processing and edge computing integrations
  • Perform advanced debugging and performance tuning on multi-threaded, distributed systems
  • Lead agile sprints, from requirements gathering to deployment via CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate security best practices, including OAuth, encryption, and zero-trust models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate on services like predictive maintenance and remote monitoring
