Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable software solutions using modern frameworks like Java, Python, C++, and microservices architectures for real-time embedded systems and IoT applications.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and prototyping to testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex systems.
  • Optimize code performance, ensuring high reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C for avionics or ISO 26262 for automotive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate software with hardware and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices in agile methodologies and DevOps pipelines.
  • Investigate emerging technologies like edge computing, machine learning, and cybersecurity to innovate and improve product roadmaps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime for critical applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development for embedded systems, IoT, or industrial applications (experience)
  • Proven track record in designing and deploying scalable software solutions in a fast-paced environment (experience)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded programming (experience)
  • Strong understanding of software security, quality assurance, and compliance standards (experience)
  • Ability to work effectively in hybrid and global team settings (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, ISTQB, or DO-178C training (experience)
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or Honeywell-specific technologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance software modules for aerospace and industrial control systems using C++, Java, and Python
  • Lead agile development sprints, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Integrate software with hardware components, sensors, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing using tools like JUnit, Selenium, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards to maintain code quality and reusability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments
