Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced software architectures for embedded systems, real-time applications, and cloud-integrated platforms using modern programming paradigms.
  • Lead the implementation of complex algorithms, AI/ML models, and IoT solutions to support Honeywell's aerospace and industrial automation initiatives.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure high reliability and compliance with industry standards like DO-178C and ISO 26262.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and integrate software with proprietary hardware.
  • Mentor junior engineers, drive agile methodologies, and contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Prototype innovative solutions for emerging technologies such as edge computing and digital twins, accelerating product development cycles.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development for embedded systems or real-time applications (experience)
  • Proven track record in full-stack development with a focus on safety-critical software in aerospace or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git (experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex technical challenges (experience)
  • U.S. citizenship or ability to obtain security clearance due to ITAR/EAR requirements (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or AWS Certified Developer (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or avionics software development (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable software solutions for embedded and distributed systems using C++, Python, and Java
  • Develop and integrate AI/ML algorithms for predictive maintenance and autonomous systems
  • Perform rigorous testing, including unit, integration, and system-level validation for high-reliability environments
  • Optimize software performance for resource-constrained devices and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications
  • Drive innovation through prototyping and evaluation of emerging technologies like 5G IoT and edge AI
  • Document designs, contribute to technical reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
