Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement advanced software solutions for embedded systems, real-time applications, and cloud-integrated platforms using modern frameworks and languages.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex engineering systems.
  • Optimize algorithms and data structures to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability in resource-constrained environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, product managers, and quality assurance to deliver robust, secure software products.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for software engineering within agile methodologies.
  • Integrate emerging technologies such as machine learning and edge computing to innovate Honeywell's product portfolio.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical software issues in production environments, ensuring 99.9% uptime for mission-critical applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development for industrial, aerospace, or embedded systems (experience)
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in C++, Java, or Python in production environments (experience)
  • Strong experience with software architecture, design patterns, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) (experience)
  • Hands-on expertise in agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git (experience)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex technical challenges (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, ISTQB, or Certified Scrum Master (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or domains like IoT, AI/ML, or avionics software (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable software architectures for embedded and cloud-based applications using C++, Java, and Python
  • Lead end-to-end software development projects, including requirement gathering, prototyping, and deployment
  • Implement and optimize real-time systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards like DO-178C or ISO 26262
  • Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to integrate software with firmware and sensors
  • Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning using tools like JUnit, Valgrind, and automated frameworks
  • Drive innovation by incorporating AI/ML models and IoT protocols into Honeywell's technology stack
  • Document designs, mentor team members, and contribute to technical roadmaps
