Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop advanced multi-domain systems, including hardware-software integration for real-time embedded applications.
  • Perform system-level modeling, simulation, and analysis using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and SysML to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead requirements elicitation, decomposition, and verification processes across cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments, trade studies, and failure modes analysis (FMEA) to mitigate technical risks in complex system designs.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineers to integrate subsystems and validate system functionality through rigorous testing protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying agile methodologies and digital engineering practices to accelerate development cycles.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical specifications and support certification processes (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with focus on complex embedded or real-time systems (experience)
  • Proven track record in system architecture, integration, and verification for safety-critical applications (experience)
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architect (experience)
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering standards like INCOSE, ISO 15288, and ARP4754 (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with requirements management tools like DOORS or Jira (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation domains with Honeywell or similar Fortune 100 companies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect advanced multi-domain systems integrating hardware, software, and firmware for high-reliability applications
  • Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies to support simulation, analysis, and trade studies
  • Lead cross-functional teams in requirements definition, allocation, and traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Perform system integration, testing, and validation, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulations
  • Conduct risk analysis, hazard identification, and mitigation planning to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to resolve technical issues and drive system optimization for performance and cost
  • Document system designs, generate reports, and support certification activities for airworthiness or industrial standards
