Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect advanced multi-domain systems integrating hardware, software, and firmware for aerospace and industrial applications.
  • Lead requirements analysis, system modeling, and simulation using tools like SysML and MATLAB/Simulink to ensure robust performance.
  • Implement and validate system-level solutions, including integration testing, verification, and certification compliance (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A).
  • Manage system lifecycle processes from concept through deployment, mitigating risks and optimizing for safety and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and stakeholders, to deliver scalable technology solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by incorporating emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and edge computing into system designs.
  • Conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide expertise in system engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation sectors (experience)
  • Proven track record in designing and integrating complex embedded systems or avionics (experience)
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Enterprise Architect (experience)
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical standards like DO-178C, DO-254, or ISO 26262 (experience)
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for sensitive projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP) or equivalent professional engineering certification (experience)
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital twins (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end system solutions for multi-domain applications, ensuring interoperability and scalability
  • Perform requirements elicitation, traceability, and validation using formal methods and tools
  • Lead system integration, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and performance optimization
  • Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, including interface control documents (ICDs)
  • Collaborate with global teams to resolve technical challenges and innovate on product roadmaps
  • Conduct risk assessments, failure modes analysis (FMEA), and trade studies for system design decisions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in agile systems development
