Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for complex user interfaces, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and analytics review, to inform design decisions and validate concepts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into seamless, accessible user experiences.
  • Design advanced interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and responsive layouts optimized for desktop, mobile, and IoT devices.
  • Champion UX best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), and design system governance within agile development cycles.
  • Analyze user data and performance metrics to iterate on designs, driving measurable improvements in user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to Honeywell's design community through workshops and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for enterprise software or hardware-integrated applications (experience)
  • Proven portfolio showcasing advanced user experience projects in tech or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Experience with user-centered design methodologies and tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD (experience)
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles (experience)
  • Ability to work on-site in a collaborative U.S.-based environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent (experience)
  • Certifications such as Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification or Google UX Design Professional Certificate (experience)
  • Experience designing for aerospace, IoT, or B2B enterprise platforms (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead user research initiatives to identify pain points and opportunities in complex workflows
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard design tools
  • Conduct usability testing sessions and iterate designs based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides for scalability
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and implemented effectively
  • Analyze A/B test results and user analytics to optimize UX performance metrics
