Overview

As a Sr Quality Control Analyst and ASNT Level III NDE Specialist in Radiography at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of non-destructive evaluation (NDE) within our advanced manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify, and oversee radiography testing programs, including technique sheets, procedures, and personnel certifications in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A and employer-based programs.
  • Perform advanced radiographic interpretations, identify defects such as cracks, voids, and inclusions, and provide authoritative dispositions for production and repair components.
  • Mentor and train ASNT Level I/II technicians, conduct performance evaluations, and lead certification examinations to build a high-performing NDE team.
  • Lead root cause analysis for NDE discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
  • Audit NDE equipment, facilities, and records for compliance with ASME, AWS, and customer specifications, ensuring zero tolerance for quality deviations.
  • Drive innovation by integrating digital radiography, computed tomography (CT), and automated inspection technologies into Honeywell's quality assurance framework.
  • Represent Honeywell in external audits, customer reviews, and industry forums, advocating for best practices in radiographic NDE.

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (experience)
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in non-destructive testing, with proven expertise in radiographic film and digital interpretation (experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, and ISO 9712 standards (experience)
  • Experience developing NDE procedures and qualifying Level II personnel (experience)
  • Familiarity with aerospace primes' requirements (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, GE Aviation) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional ASNT Level III certifications in UT, PT, MT, or ET (experience)
  • Master's degree in Nondestructive Evaluation or related field (experience)
  • Experience with advanced techniques like DR, CT, or neutron radiography (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain ASNT-compliant radiography programs, including procedure development and equipment calibration
  • Interpret complex radiographs from production hardware, issuing accept/reject decisions and detailed reports
  • Train, certify, and mentor NDE technicians, conducting practical and theoretical examinations
  • Lead investigations into NDE findings, performing failure analysis and recommending process improvements
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to integrate NDE into the production lifecycle
  • Conduct internal audits and support external Nadcap accreditation processes
  • Innovate NDE workflows by adopting AI-assisted defect detection and automated systems
