Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
  • Perform quality inspections at various assembly stages, ensuring parts meet Honeywell's stringent standards for precision and reliability.
  • Operate basic machinery such as torque wrenches, crimping tools, and soldering equipment to build sub-assemblies and final products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to 5S principles and Honeywell's safety protocols to prevent defects and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality control, to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement process improvements.
  • Accurately record production data, including assembly times and defect reports, using Honeywell's digital manufacturing systems.
  • Support inventory management by verifying parts and reporting discrepancies to maintain production flow.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) (experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards such as ISO 9001 (experience)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a production setting (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or vocational certification in assembly, electronics, or mechatronics (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma basics (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble complex mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies following Honeywell engineering specifications and work orders
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections using calibrated tools to ensure zero-defect production
  • Operate and maintain assembly equipment, including torque tools and soldering stations, while following safety lockout/tagout procedures
  • Identify and report process deviations or material issues to supervisors and engineering teams for rapid resolution
  • Document assembly processes and outcomes in Honeywell's ERP system to support traceability and continuous improvement
  • Participate in team huddles and kaizen events to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Support training of new assemblers and maintain compliance with all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations
