Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform quality inspections at various assembly stages to ensure products meet Honeywell's stringent standards and specifications.
  • Operate basic machinery such as torque wrenches, crimping tools, and soldering equipment to secure parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Follow safety protocols, including wearing PPE and adhering to lean manufacturing principles to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Record assembly data accurately in production tracking systems and report any defects or deviations to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to meet production schedules and resolve minor assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following 5S methodologies to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Assembly, Electronics, or Industrial Technology (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or electronics manufacturing (experience)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble complex mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies using engineering specifications and quality checklists
  • Conduct in-process inspections and functional tests to verify component integrity and performance
  • Utilize tools like torque drivers, soldering irons, and pneumatic presses to secure fasteners and connections
  • Document production metrics, including cycle times and defect rates, in Honeywell's ERP system
  • Identify and escalate process improvements or non-conformances to support team efficiency
  • Adhere to all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines and participate in safety audits
  • Assist in inventory management by kitting parts and maintaining FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation
