Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures according to detailed blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Perform in-process inspections and quality checks using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure products meet Honeywell's stringent quality standards.
  • Operate light manufacturing equipment, such as torque wrenches, presses, and soldering stations, while adhering to all safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to troubleshoot assembly issues, optimize workflows, and achieve daily production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following 5S methodologies to support an efficient and safe production environment.
  • Document assembly processes, defects, and completions accurately in production tracking systems for traceability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in team huddles, safety training, and kaizen events to drive operational excellence and personal development.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks (experience)
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced on-site manufacturing environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, or related field (experience)
  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assembly (experience)
  • Prior experience in aerospace, electronics, or precision assembly (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications and identify defects
  • Set up and operate assembly workstations, adjusting fixtures and tools for optimal efficiency
  • Record production data, including cycle times and scrap rates, in ERP systems like SAP
  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and PPE requirements in a controlled cleanroom environment
  • Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues using tools like 8D or fishbone diagrams
  • Support inventory management by kitting parts and reporting material shortages
