Assembler - Level 2 - 1st Shift

Location: Redmond, WA | Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Workplace: On-site

In this hands-on role, you will play a critical part in assembling and inspecting high-precision aerospace and advanced technology products. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electronic components using blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings to ensure precision and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly equipment, including torque tools, soldering stations, and robotic assists, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap rates.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including labor tracking, material usage, and quality documentation in Honeywell's ERP system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to support process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Follow all Honeywell safety, environmental, and lean manufacturing standards to foster a safe and efficient work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or vocational training in manufacturing, electronics, or related field (experience)
  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assembly (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate components for aerospace products following detailed engineering specifications and quality standards
  • Conduct rigorous visual and mechanical inspections to detect and document defects, ensuring zero-escape quality
  • Set up and operate assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment to achieve high-volume production targets
  • Identify and report process deviations, participating in root cause analysis and kaizen events for improvements
  • Accurately record production data and maintain 5S workplace organization for efficiency and safety
  • Support inventory management by verifying parts and reporting shortages to maintain production flow
  • Train and mentor junior assemblers on best practices and safety procedures
