Assembler - Level 2 - 1st Shift (Mon-Thu, 5am-4pm)

Location: Redmond, WA | Workplace: On-site

Overview

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of skilled professionals to achieve production targets and drive operational excellence. With a consistent 1st shift schedule (Monday-Thursday, 5am-4pm), enjoy a three-day weekend while supporting Honeywell's commitment to manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electronic components using blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings to precise specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calibrated tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to verify product quality and conformance.
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automated assembly equipment, including torque tools, soldering stations, and robotic assists, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including labor tracking, material usage, and quality data in Honeywell's manufacturing execution system (MES).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to support process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Follow all Honeywell safety, environmental, and lean manufacturing principles to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards (experience)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (experience)
  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assemblies (experience)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble mechanical subassemblies and electronic modules according to detailed work instructions and Honeywell specifications
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections at multiple stages to ensure zero-defect quality prior to shipment
  • Set up and operate assembly workstations, including loading programs on CNC machines and robotic systems
  • Identify and report non-conformances, participating in material review board processes for disposition
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to sustain production efficiency
  • Support inventory management by accurately transacting parts and assemblies in ERP systems
  • Contribute to kaizen events and process optimization to increase throughput and reduce waste
