Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electronic components using blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings to meet exact specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure products meet Honeywell's stringent quality standards.
  • Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly equipment, including torque tools, soldering stations, and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify defects, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap rates.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and engineering, to support production goals and process improvements.
  • Accurately record production data in Honeywell's ERP system and complete required documentation for traceability.

Summary

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (experience)
  • Experience with quality inspection processes and defect reporting (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (experience)
  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assembly (experience)
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products from sub-components to finished goods using detailed work instructions and Honeywell standards
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances
  • Operate and maintain assembly line equipment, performing basic setups and changeovers
  • Identify and report non-conformances, participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and material transactions in ERP systems
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage, to maintain a zero-incident workplace
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
