Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate mechanical and electronic assemblies using blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications, adhering to FAA standards and Honeywell quality protocols.
  • Perform rigorous functional and environmental testing on components, including pressure, vibration, and electrical performance tests, to verify reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose assembly or test failures, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure zero-defect production.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, test results, and non-conformances in compliance with FAA Part 21 and AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test stations with high precision.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support inventory management by inspecting incoming materials and ensuring proper handling of calibrated tools and ESD-sensitive components.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in assembly and testing of mechanical/electronic components in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment (experience)
  • FAA or aerospace industry certification (e.g., FAA Airframe & Powerplant or equivalent repair station experience) (experience)
  • Proficiency with precision tools, measurement instruments, and reading technical drawings/blueprints (experience)
  • Strong understanding of quality standards such as AS9100, IPC-A-610, and FAA regulations (experience)
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and obtain security clearance if required (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field (experience)
  • IPC J-STD-001 or NASA soldering certification (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell or similar aerospace OEM products and test equipment (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble complex mechanical and electronic aerospace components per engineering drawings and FAA-approved procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive testing including functional, environmental, and acceptance tests using automated and manual equipment
  • Identify, document, and resolve defects or non-conformances to maintain production flow and quality metrics
  • Calibrate and maintain test fixtures, tools, and instrumentation to ensure traceability and accuracy
  • Perform root cause analysis on test failures and implement preventive measures for process improvements
  • Update production records, test data, and compliance documentation in ERP systems like SAP
  • Assist in training junior technicians and participate in safety and lean manufacturing initiatives
