Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex aerospace components using precision tools, jigs, and fixtures according to detailed engineering blueprints and work instructions.
  • Perform functional and environmental testing on assemblies, including pressure, vibration, and electrical tests, to verify performance against specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on test failures, implement corrective actions, and document findings in quality management systems.
  • Operate and maintain specialized test equipment such as hydraulic rigs, data acquisition systems, and non-destructive testing (NDT) tools.
  • Ensure adherence to Honeywell's safety protocols, ITAR/CGP regulations, and AS9100 quality standards in all assembly and test activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and material traceability using ERP systems like SAP.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in assembly and testing of aerospace or precision mechanical components (experience)
  • Experience working in a Controlled Goods Program (CGP) or ITAR-regulated environment (experience)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications (experience)
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and inspection techniques in manufacturing (experience)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance if required for international sites (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Aerospace Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or IPC-A-610 certification (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or avionics assembly (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble aerospace components including hydraulic actuators, sensors, and electronic modules using hand tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment
  • Execute comprehensive test procedures including functional, environmental, and performance testing to validate product integrity
  • Identify and resolve assembly discrepancies or test failures through systematic troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with calibration standards
  • Document all processes, test data, and non-conformances in digital quality systems for audit readiness
  • Participate in kaizen events and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce defects
  • Train junior technicians on assembly techniques, safety procedures, and test protocols
