Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets from industrial sensors, PLCs, and production systems to identify patterns and inefficiencies in factory operations.
  • Develop machine learning models and statistical algorithms to predict equipment failures and optimize production workflows.
  • Design data pipelines for real-time processing using tools like Apache Kafka and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Visualize insights through interactive dashboards with Power BI or Tableau to support decision-making for factory managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation engineers, IT specialists, and production leads to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Conduct simulations and validation studies to ensure model accuracy and scalability in real-world manufacturing environments.
  • Document findings in a comprehensive thesis, including recommendations for Honeywell's Digital Factory roadmap.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (experience)
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's level enrollment or equivalent advanced studies (experience)
  • Internship experience in data analytics, manufacturing, or automation (experience)
  • Certifications in Python, Machine Learning (e.g., Coursera), or AWS (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Collect and preprocess multi-source data from factory sensors, ERP systems, and automation controllers
  • Apply statistical methods and ML algorithms to detect anomalies and forecast production metrics
  • Build and deploy scalable data analytics solutions integrated with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
  • Perform root cause analysis on production bottlenecks using advanced visualization techniques
  • Test and validate models in simulated and live factory environments
  • Present results to stakeholders and propose actionable optimizations
  • Contribute to Honeywell's digital twin initiatives for predictive maintenance
