Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand Honeywell’s market presence in aerospace, building technologies, performance materials, and safety solutions. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global growth strategy, leveraging Honeywell’s innovative technologies to deliver value to customers worldwide. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from key international hubs while engaging with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing trends, and targeting high-potential sectors in international markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including pipeline management, proposal development, and contract negotiations to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, C-suite executives, and partners to secure strategic alliances and joint ventures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing, and legal teams to customize solutions that meet client needs and drive competitive differentiation.
  • Lead RFP responses, presentations, and demos, translating technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions.
  • Track market intelligence, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and business strategies.
  • Deliver regular reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and market expansion progress to senior leadership.

  • Proven track record of closing multimillion-dollar deals and achieving revenue growth targets (experience)
  • Experience in international markets with understanding of cultural nuances and regulatory environments (experience)
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to navigate complex sales cycles (experience)
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) (experience)
  • Experience in Honeywell-related industries like automation, energy, or safety technologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify leads through targeted outreach, networking events, and industry conferences to build a robust sales pipeline
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify untapped opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies for new regions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and partners to secure profitable long-term agreements
  • Partner with technical teams to deliver tailored demonstrations and proofs-of-concept that showcase Honeywell’s innovative solutions
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to training programs on business development best practices
  • Monitor KPIs such as win rates, deal velocity, and customer satisfaction to continuously optimize performance
  • Represent Honeywell at trade shows, customer summits, and executive briefings to enhance brand visibility
