Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor at our St. Louis, MO facility, you will ensure high-quality production standards through precise measurements, cutting, bending, and finishing tasks. All selected candidates will undergo an in-person evaluation covering blueprint reading, tool identification, basic math including fraction/decimal conversions, and hands-on fabrication skills. Your work will directly impact production quality, efficiency, and our ability to meet customer demands while upholding Honeywell's commitment to safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CNC brake presses and laser steel cutting machines to fabricate precision components from blueprints and specifications.
  • Perform complex assembly tasks, including welding, grinding, and finishing to meet stringent quality and tolerance requirements.
  • Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part accuracy and compliance with engineering drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, performing routine adjustments to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve fabrication issues and implement process improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Document production data accurately in Honeywell's ERP system to support inventory and quality tracking.

Summary

As a CNC Brake Press/laser steel cutting/Fabricator Level 2 here at Honeywell for the 2nd or 3rd Shift, you will customize, fabricate and assemble complex parts, ensuring high-quality production standards through precise measurements, cutting, and finishing tasks. CNC programming required. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our St Louis, MO location on an Onsite work schedule.   • Strong mathematical skills including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions (experience)
  • Pass in-person practical evaluation on blueprint reading, tool ID, and basic fabrication tasks (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or vocational certification in machining, welding, or fabrication (experience)
  • Experience with Trumpf, Amada, or Bystronic CNC brake presses/laser systems (experience)
  • Forklift certification or prior experience in aerospace manufacturing (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC brake presses and laser cutters to produce complex steel parts per exact specifications
  • Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software or manual G-code for custom fabrication runs
  • Inspect fabricated components using precision tools to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances
  • Assemble multi-part components through bending, cutting, welding, and finishing processes
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on fabrication equipment to sustain production uptime
  • Identify and report process inefficiencies, collaborating on lean manufacturing improvements
  • Maintain accurate production records and adhere to ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems
