Job Overview

As a CMMS Specialist at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in the setup, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize CMMS configurations, including custom databases, workflows, and report automation for KPI tracking and trend analysis.
  • Lead new customer onboarding processes, including data migration, asset record creation, preventative maintenance scheduling, and inventory setup.
  • Manage internal and external communications to resolve system issues, gather requirements, and recommend best practices for CMMS utilization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on CMMS features, policies, and procedures to enhance user adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze work order data to identify bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and generate actionable reports for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT, maintenance, and operations teams to integrate CMMS with enterprise systems and ensure data integrity.

Summary

Responsible for CMMS setup, implementation, and optimization, including report automation, KPI tracking, and database customizations. Manages internal and external customer communications regarding system needs and issues. Handles new customer onboarding, data entry, asset records, preventative maintenance scheduling, and inventory setup. Optimizes workflows, work orders, and reporting for efficiency and trend analysis. Provides training on proper CMMS usage and recommends best practices, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CMMS platforms such as IBM Maximo, UpKeep, or Fiix (experience)
  • Proven experience in CMMS implementation, customization, and optimization projects (experience)
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management processes, including asset management and preventative maintenance (experience)
  • Experience with SQL databases, report automation tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, Power BI), and workflow design (experience)
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and training delivery (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or equivalent certification (experience)
  • Experience with enterprise integrations (e.g., ERP systems like SAP) (experience)
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field or PMP certification (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize CMMS databases, fields, and modules to meet organizational needs and support scalability
  • Automate reporting dashboards and KPIs to enable real-time trend analysis and performance monitoring
  • Onboard new customers by importing legacy data, setting up asset hierarchies, and configuring PM schedules
  • Optimize work order workflows, inventory controls, and mobile applications to boost operational efficiency
  • Conduct user training sessions and develop documentation on CMMS best practices and troubleshooting
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on upgrades or migrations
  • Analyze usage data to recommend process improvements and policy enhancements
