Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of existing and prospective customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and market data to determine creditworthiness.
  • Monitor customer accounts for early warning signs of delinquency, recommending proactive measures such as payment plans or credit limit adjustments.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to support credit decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Prepare detailed credit risk reports and presentations for senior management, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records in credit management systems and ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in collections efforts by reviewing aging reports and coordinating with customers to resolve overdue accounts efficiently.
  • Contribute to process improvements in credit operations, leveraging data analytics to enhance risk prediction and efficiency.

Summary

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) (experience)
  • Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial statements, and international trade finance (experience)
  • Experience with credit scoring models and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, IFRS) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CICP (Certified International Credit Professional) or equivalent (experience)
  • Experience in multinational corporations or manufacturing industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis of customer credit applications, including ratio analysis, cash flow projections, and benchmarking against industry standards
  • Evaluate and approve/reject credit limits within delegated authority, escalating high-risk cases to senior management
  • Monitor portfolio credit quality through key metrics like DSO, bad debt provisions, and delinquency rates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely payments and resolve disputes
  • Generate monthly credit risk reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Support collections by negotiating payment terms and coordinating with third-party agencies when necessary
  • Identify opportunities to optimize credit policies and processes to reduce risk exposure and improve cash flow
