We are seeking a strategic Director Supply Planning to join our Materials Management team in Rolle, Switzerland on a hybrid work schedule. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Materials Management, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our global supply chain operations. This position offers the opportunity to drive efficiency, balance customer demand with inventory optimization, and enhance operational performance across Honeywell’s international footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced supply planning strategies to ensure seamless alignment between demand forecasts and supply capabilities.
  • Lead a team of planners in executing S&OP processes, leveraging data analytics to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, manufacturing, and sales to integrate supply chain metrics into business decisions.
  • Optimize inventory levels through statistical modeling and scenario planning, targeting service levels above 98% while reducing working capital.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance supply chain resilience and agility.
  • Monitor global market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Present executive-level reports on supply chain KPIs, influencing strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization.

Summary

You will report directly to our Sr Director Materials Management, and you’ll work out of our Rolle, Switzerland location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency of our supply chain operations, ensuring that we meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and enhancing overall operational performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (experience)
  • Proven track record in global supply chain optimization within manufacturing or aerospace industries (experience)
  • Experience implementing ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle SCM (experience)
  • Strong understanding of S&OP processes and demand-supply balancing (experience)
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management (experience)
  • CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent APICS certifications (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing sectors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead end-to-end supply planning processes, including demand sensing, capacity planning, and multi-echelon inventory optimization
  • Direct a team of 10+ planners, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and development
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to build resilient supplier networks and reduce lead times
  • Utilize advanced analytics and AI tools to forecast demand accurately and simulate supply chain scenarios
  • Drive KPIs such as inventory turns, on-time delivery, and forecast accuracy to world-class levels
  • Implement risk management frameworks to address disruptions from geopolitical events or material shortages
  • Partner with finance to align supply plans with financial targets and budgeting
