Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from inception to completion, including resource forecasting, task delegation, and on-site coordination.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets (monitoring over-run alerts and change orders), and schedules while upholding customer expectations.
  • Apply a systems engineering approach to design core electrical architecture, integrating sub-systems for optimal performance.
  • Coordinate in-house and external resources to execute technical implementations efficiently.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on project status, risks, and milestones for internal stakeholders and clients.

Summary

As an Electrical Engineer II implements electrical projects as the Lead Engineer for an integrated system or sub-system. Engineer provides planning, reporting and management of the electrical project, in addition to technical implementation, taking full ownership of the electrical project elements and executes (and/or delegate) individual tasks throughout the project life cycle by coordinating and forecasting electrical resources in-house and on site. The Engineer takes a systems approach in understanding core design features, project elements, overall electrical architecture and manages the scope, budget (Over-run Alert, Change Orders), schedule, maintaining internal and external customer expectations throughout the project life cycle. Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead small-scale projects with accountability for scope, budget, and schedule (experience)
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, industrial automation, or building technologies sectors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Engineer for electrical projects, owning planning, technical implementation, and execution across the project lifecycle
  • Forecast and coordinate electrical resources, both in-house and on-site, delegating tasks while maintaining oversight
  • Design and architect electrical systems and sub-systems using a holistic systems engineering approach
  • Manage project scope, budget (including over-run alerts and change orders), and schedule to meet internal and external customer expectations
  • Prepare and deliver detailed project reports, status updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless integration and project success
  • Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation to verify system performance and compliance with standards
