Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and embedded systems for aerospace and industrial applications.
  • Conduct detailed simulations, schematic captures, and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools to validate system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting complex electrical issues, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical designs into final products.
  • Support product qualification testing, including EMC/EMI compliance, environmental stress screening, and regulatory certifications (e.g., DO-160, UL).
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, including design reports, BOMs, and work instructions for production handover.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in electrical systems design and development, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Proven experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and firmware integration for embedded systems (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with testing and validation of electrical systems, including compliance with industry standards (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in electrical engineering software tools and simulation environments (experience)
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances or export control approvals as required (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer), Six Sigma Green Belt, or IPC CID (experience)
  • Experience with high-reliability systems in aerospace (e.g., ARINC standards) or IoT-enabled devices (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype electrical architectures for power electronics, signal conditioning, and control systems using tools like Altium and OrCAD
  • Perform circuit analysis, thermal modeling, and worst-case analysis to ensure reliability under extreme conditions
  • Lead design reviews, FMEA processes, and risk assessments to mitigate potential failures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions on time and within budget
  • Execute lab-based testing, including functional verification, environmental testing, and failure mode analysis
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including datasheets, user manuals, and compliance reports
  • Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies, components, and methodologies to enhance product performance
