Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, wiring harnesses, PCBs, and mechanical subassemblies into fully functional machines using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and harness fabrication for electrical systems, adhering to IPC-A-610 standards for electronics assemblies.
  • Conduct functional testing, diagnostics, and calibration of machines using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment to verify performance specs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in prototypes and production units, implementing root cause analysis with tools like 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on buildability, suggesting design improvements for manufacturability and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace compliant with ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing principles, documenting all processes in Honeywell's ERP system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including kaizen events and training junior builders on best practices.

  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions (experience)
  • Experience with soldering, wire harness assembly, and crimp terminations per IPC standards (experience)
  • Familiarity with testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and functional testers (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent in electronics assembly (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or industrial automation manufacturing (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble electronic and mechanical components into complex machines following detailed engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Fabricate and install wiring harnesses, connectors, and sensors ensuring electrical integrity and compliance with safety standards
  • Execute in-process and final testing protocols, diagnosing issues with precision tools to meet quality and performance targets
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on assembly tools and machinery to minimize downtime
  • Document build processes, deviations, and test results in digital manufacturing systems for traceability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Drive process improvements through data analysis and lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and yield
