Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Implement low-level drivers, communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), and sensor interfaces.
- Debug and optimize code for performance, power efficiency, and reliability using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with PCB designs and perform hardware-software co-verification.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., MISRA, DO-178C).
- Support system-level integration, troubleshooting, and field testing of embedded products.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in IoT, edge computing, and embedded security.

- Understanding of embedded hardware concepts including peripherals, interrupts, and power management (experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent (experience)
- Experience with embedded Linux, wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), or safety-critical systems (experience)
- Certifications such as ARM Accredited Engineer or Embedded Systems Professional (experience)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain firmware for embedded devices using C/C++ and assembly language
- Create and integrate peripheral drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging using JTAG, SWD, and emulation tools
- Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and low-power consumption in battery-operated devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system architecture
- Document code, design decisions, and test results per Honeywell's quality standards
- Support prototype development, lab validation, and production deployment
