  • Understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex, AVR) and peripherals (e.g., GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART) (experience)
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr (experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (experience)
  • Experience with embedded Linux or Yocto Project (experience)
  • Certifications such as ARM Accredited Engineer or MISRA C compliance (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and test embedded software modules for microcontrollers using C/C++ and assembly language
  • Implement and optimize communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, Ethernet) for industrial and aerospace applications
  • Perform hardware-software integration, debugging, and performance analysis using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and emulators
  • Develop drivers and middleware for sensors, actuators, and peripheral devices
  • Conduct thorough testing including unit, integration, and system-level tests to ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., DO-178C, ISO 26262)
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware teams, and product managers to define requirements and deliver robust solutions
  • Maintain and update embedded codebase using version control systems like Git and follow agile development practices
