Key Responsibilities
- Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical applications.
- Design low-level drivers and interfaces for sensors, actuators, and communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and validation of embedded software using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
- Optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory efficiency in resource-constrained environments.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with PCB designs and prototypes.
- Document code, create technical reports, and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
- Support system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for field issues.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
- Experience with embedded Linux or Yocto Project (experience)
- Certifications such as ARM Accredited Engineer or MISRA C (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and test embedded firmware for microcontrollers targeting aerospace and industrial applications
- Implement and optimize communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and wireless interfaces
- Conduct hardware-software integration testing and performance benchmarking
- Develop unit tests and perform static code analysis using tools like LDRA or Coverity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and interfaces
- Troubleshoot and resolve firmware issues in lab and field environments
- Maintain and update documentation for firmware modules and APIs
