Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Design low-level drivers and interfaces for sensors, actuators, and communication protocols.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and validation of embedded software modules.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Optimize code for performance, power consumption, and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
  • Document designs, code, and test procedures following industry standards like MISRA and DO-178C.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of field issues.

  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, AVR) and RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr) (experience)
  • Familiarity with embedded debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers (experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
  • Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or Ethernet (experience)
  • Certifications like ARM Accredited Engineer or ISTQB Foundation Level (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and implement embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++
  • Develop and integrate peripheral drivers for sensors, displays, and wireless modules
  • Conduct thorough testing including unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations, and system-level validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architectures
  • Optimize embedded software for real-time performance, low power, and memory efficiency
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and safety-critical guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues during development and post-deployment phases
