Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical applications.
  • Design low-level drivers and interfaces for sensors, actuators, and communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and validation of embedded software using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, systems architects, and quality assurance to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory efficiency in resource-constrained environments.
  • Document designs, create technical reports, and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and compliance with industry standards like MISRA and DO-178C.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of field issues to improve product reliability.

  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, AVR) and RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr) (experience)
  • Understanding of embedded hardware concepts including peripherals, interrupts, and power management (experience)
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
  • Experience with safety-critical standards (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C) (experience)
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) or Linux embedded systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and test embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++ and assembly
  • Implement and debug communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN) for sensor integration
  • Develop and maintain RTOS-based applications ensuring real-time performance and reliability
  • Conduct hardware-software integration testing and troubleshoot issues using debugging tools
  • Optimize algorithms for low-power and high-efficiency operation in battery-constrained devices
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and documentation to ensure compliance and quality
