Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug embedded software for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical applications.
  • Implement firmware for sensor interfaces, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI, UART), and control algorithms.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize board-level designs and resolve hardware-software integration issues.
  • Document code, design specifications, and test procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards such as MISRA C and DO-178C.
  • Participate in code reviews and agile sprints to maintain high code quality and project timelines.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for embedded systems reliability.

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems (experience)
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, AVR) and RTOS concepts (experience)
  • Understanding of embedded hardware interfaces and debugging tools (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
  • Experience with safety-critical standards like MISRA or ISO 26262 (experience)
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel development for embedded devices (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and test embedded firmware for microcontrollers using C/C++ and assembly language
  • Integrate and validate communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, and wireless stacks (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
  • Perform hardware-software co-design and troubleshooting using lab equipment and emulators
  • Develop drivers and middleware for sensors, actuators, and peripherals
  • Conduct static code analysis, unit testing, and regression testing to ensure software robustness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and quality assurance engineers
  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and process improvements in an agile environment
