Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded software with hardware peripherals, sensors, and communication protocols.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance optimization to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards like MISRA and DO-178C.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile sprints to deliver high-quality, maintainable codebases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools.
  • Support prototyping and validation of new embedded designs for IoT-enabled devices and control systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment (experience)

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (experience)
  • Experience with safety-critical standards (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C) (experience)
  • Knowledge of Linux embedded systems or wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and test embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++ and assembly language
  • Integrate and validate communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, and wireless protocols in embedded applications
  • Perform debugging and optimization of real-time embedded software using tools like JTAG debuggers and protocol analyzers
  • Develop drivers and middleware for sensors, actuators, and peripherals in IoT and control systems
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype and iterate on PCB designs and firmware interactions
  • Document code, create test plans, and participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and traceability
  • Support system-level testing and deployment of embedded solutions in production environments
