Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement embedded software for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical applications.
  • Develop firmware for sensor integration, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth), and low-power devices.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency in resource-constrained environments.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product managers to define requirements and validate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as MISRA C, ISO 26262, and DO-178C for automotive and avionics domains.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables.

  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC) and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) (experience)
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging (experience)
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and agile methodologies (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, ARM Accredited Engineer, or MISRA compliance (experience)
  • Experience with embedded Linux, wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE), or safety-critical systems (ASIL/DO-178) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop embedded firmware for real-time control systems using C/C++ and assembly
  • Integrate peripherals including sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Conduct thorough testing, including static analysis, unit tests, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations
  • Optimize algorithms for low-latency and deterministic performance in embedded environments
  • Document designs, create technical reports, and support system-level integration
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using advanced debugging tools and protocol analyzers
  • Drive continuous improvement through code refactoring and adoption of best practices
