Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) in safety-critical applications.
  • Implement low-level drivers, firmware, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, I2C, SPI) to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Perform debugging, optimization, and performance tuning using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and quality assurance teams to define requirements and validate system functionality.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing following industry standards such as MISRA C and DO-178C.
  • Support product lifecycle from concept through deployment, including documentation and maintenance of embedded systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in embedded systems and contribute to innovation initiatives.

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for resource-constrained environments (experience)
  • Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or Zephyr (experience)
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware interfaces and peripherals (experience)
  • Knowledge of embedded testing methodologies and tools (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent (experience)
  • Certifications in embedded systems (e.g., ARM Accredited Engineer, ISTQB) (experience)
  • Experience with safety-critical standards like DO-178C, ISO 26262, or Functional Safety (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M/RISC-V processors
  • Develop and optimize communication stacks for industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus)
  • Debug complex issues using advanced tools and static/dynamic analysis
  • Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and wireless modules into embedded systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Participate in agile sprints to deliver high-quality software releases on schedule
