Engineering Manager - RF and Quantum Satellite Communications

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15+ engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project execution for RF and Quantum Satellite systems, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and performance metrics are met.
  • Drive technical roadmap development, from concept to deployment, integrating cutting-edge RF technologies and quantum communication protocols.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ITAR, EAR) and Honeywell quality management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, sales, and external partners, to support business development and secure new contracts.
  • Conduct performance reviews, talent acquisition, and succession planning to build a robust engineering team.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, implementing agile methodologies to enhance project agility and innovation.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of 15+ engineers specializing in RF and Quantum Satellite communication systems. This pivotal role involves coaching and developing engineers, ensuring project performance, and maintaining compliance with both internal and external processes. Salary

60,000 - 120,000 USD / yearly

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams of 10+ members (experience)
  • Proven track record in delivering complex projects in Space and Defence sectors (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of RF systems, antenna design, and satellite communication protocols (experience)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance including ITAR, EAR, and MIL-STD standards (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or CISSP (experience)
  • Prior experience in business development or proposal management for defense contracts (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, coach, and performance-manage a team of 15+ RF and Quantum engineers to achieve departmental goals
  • Define and execute technical roadmaps for satellite communication systems, integrating RF and quantum innovations
  • Monitor project KPIs, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines
  • Champion compliance with Honeywell processes, industry regulations, and security protocols
  • Partner with sales and BD teams to develop winning proposals and capture new Space/Defence opportunities
  • Foster innovation through agile practices, prototyping, and technology scouting
  • Conduct regular technical reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives
