Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, SOX, and local Indian statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and ROC filings.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux reporting to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide financial insights and ad-hoc analysis to senior leadership for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives, leveraging automation tools to streamline controllership activities and reduce close cycle times.
  • Collaborate with global finance teams, business units, and external auditors to support audits and implement best practices.
  • Monitor internal controls, risk management, and financial policies to safeguard entity assets and mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognized university (experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial controllership, accounting, or FP&A within a multinational corporate environment (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and statutory compliance requirements (e.g., Companies Act, GST, Income Tax) (experience)
  • Proven experience managing financial close processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis (experience)
  • Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (experience)
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle in a shared services or entity controlling capacity (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, MBA, or equivalent (experience)
  • Big 4 audit experience or exposure to SOX compliance in a listed company (experience)
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling and automation tools like Power BI or Alteryx (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and intercompany reconciliations to meet deadlines
  • Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reviews and flux analysis to ensure reporting accuracy and identify business drivers
  • Ensure 100% compliance with local regulations and Honeywell's global policies through proactive monitoring and control testing
  • Deliver insightful financial reports and KPIs to support entity leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements, such as RPA or system enhancements, to optimize controllership efficiency
  • Partner with internal audit, tax, and business teams to resolve complex issues and prepare for external audits
  • Develop and mentor junior team members while managing ad-hoc projects related to M&A or system migrations
