Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Atlanta, GA | Workplace: On-site

Overview

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing and office facilities in Atlanta, GA. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will lead a team of skilled technicians to ensure seamless facilities operations, uphold the highest safety standards, and drive continuous improvements that enhance productivity and employee satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS software to optimize equipment lifespan and reduce costs.
  • Lead root cause analysis for maintenance issues, implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations through regular audits, training programs, and risk assessments.
  • Manage a team of 8-12 maintenance technicians, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and development plans to build high-performing capabilities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and procurement, to execute facility upgrades and capital projects on time and within budget.
  • Monitor energy usage and implement sustainability initiatives to align with Honeywell's environmental goals.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and ISO safety and environmental standards (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Facilities Management or Business Administration (experience)
  • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (experience)
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and schedule all facilities maintenance activities to ensure 99% uptime for critical systems
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and lead emergency response drills for the team
  • Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, targeting 10-15% cost reductions through efficiency gains
  • Mentor and train maintenance staff on best practices and new technologies
  • Collaborate with vendors for procurement of parts and services, negotiating contracts for optimal value
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
  • Implement energy conservation measures to support Honeywell's sustainability targets
