Overview

This remote position is based in the United States and offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional technical support to customers' distribution centers across the country. With up to 95% travel, you'll play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced electromechanical systems, including conveyors, robotic applications, sortation systems, palletizers, and PLC controls. Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites (up to 95%) to perform installation, commissioning, and startup of conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and robotic palletizers.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in electromechanical systems, PLC controls, and automation software using diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime.
  • Train customer operators and maintenance staff on system operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide field feedback for product improvements and develop customized solutions.
  • Document service activities, generate detailed reports, and maintain accurate records in Honeywell's service management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and Honeywell quality protocols during all field activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in field service, installation, or maintenance of industrial automation systems (experience)
  • Proven experience troubleshooting PLC controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred) and electromechanical systems (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 95% domestically with valid driver's license and passport (experience)
  • Strong understanding of conveyor systems, sortation, and robotic applications (experience)
  • Experience with reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and control logic (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • PLC programming certifications (e.g., Rockwell Automation Certified) (experience)
  • Prior experience with Honeywell Intelligrated systems or similar warehouse automation platforms (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of conveyor, sortation, and palletizing systems to meet customer specifications
  • Diagnose, repair, and optimize electromechanical failures using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and proprietary diagnostic software
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs and system upgrades to enhance reliability and throughput
  • Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to customer teams on system operations and troubleshooting procedures
  • Generate detailed service reports, root cause analyses, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate remotely with design engineers and product managers to resolve field issues and influence product enhancements
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards during fieldwork
