  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in field service, industrial automation, or instrumentation support (experience)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, DCS, or SCADA systems from vendors like Honeywell, Rockwell, or Siemens (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically, with valid driver's license and willingness for occasional overnight stays (experience)
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP), and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISA) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or Honeywell-specific training (experience)
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including IIoT, predictive analytics, or cybersecurity in automation (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to install, configure, and commission Honeywell automation hardware and software solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis on system failures using diagnostic tools and data analytics to minimize downtime
  • Execute preventive maintenance, software upgrades, and firmware updates to enhance system reliability and performance
  • Train end-users and maintenance teams on proper operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures for installed systems
  • Generate comprehensive service reports, including findings, recommendations, and billable hours for internal and customer review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues and contribute to product improvement feedback loops
