Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for Honeywell's Industrial Automation products, including PLCs, DCS systems, and SCADA platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network issues in real-time to minimize downtime for customer operations.
  • Implement and commission automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing client infrastructure.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and performance optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Summary

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and expertise in Industrial Automation, troubleshoot issues, ensure solution implementation, and drive customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Valliant, OK location on an On-site work schedule.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and work on-site in industrial environments (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary security clearances (experience)
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NEC) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • Certifications such as ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or Honeywell-specific training (experience)
  • Experience with DCS systems like Honeywell Experion or TDC 3000 (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to perform installation, commissioning, and startup of automation control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and Honeywell software suites
  • Execute software upgrades, firmware updates, and configuration changes to optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to provide field feedback for product enhancements
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports, service summaries, and customer training sessions
  • Maintain inventory of service tools, spare parts, and ensure compliance with Honeywell service procedures
  • Identify opportunities for upselling Honeywell solutions and services during customer interactions
