Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for Honeywell's Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and SCADA systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve field issues related to instrumentation, control valves, and automation hardware/software integration.
  • Perform system commissioning, upgrades, and preventive maintenance to optimize customer uptime and performance.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to develop customized service plans and ensure solution implementation.
  • Document service activities, generate detailed reports, and train customer personnel on system operations and troubleshooting.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by achieving high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and fostering long-term partnerships.

Summary

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and expertise in Industrial Automation, troubleshoot issues, ensure solution implementation, and drive customer satisfaction.   • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in field service or maintenance of industrial automation systems (experience)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems (e.g., Honeywell Experion, TDC 3000) (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within India for on-site customer support (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in industrial environments with safety compliance (experience)
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Automation or Control Systems Engineering (experience)
  • Honeywell or equivalent certifications (e.g., Experion PKS, Safety Manager) (experience)
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies like IIoT, predictive analytics, or cybersecurity in automation (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits to install, configure, and commission industrial automation control systems for customer facilities
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in control loops, sensors, actuators, and network communications using diagnostic tools
  • Execute software upgrades, patch deployments, and system optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency
  • Perform root cause analysis on system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Train end-users and maintenance teams on Honeywell product operations, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting
  • Prepare comprehensive service reports, including billable hours, parts usage, and recommendations for spares
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new project rollouts and ongoing service contracts
