Overview

As a Field Service Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class technical support and maintenance for our advanced aerospace, building technologies, and performance materials systems. This on-site, international position requires travel to customer sites worldwide to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize complex industrial equipment. You will ensure operational excellence, minimize downtime, and drive customer satisfaction in high-stakes environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Honeywell's turbine engines, HVAC systems, and automation controls using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to resolve complex failures under tight deadlines, ensuring 99%+ uptime for customer assets.
  • Conduct system upgrades, calibrations, and retrofits, documenting all activities in compliance with ISO 9001 and FAA/EASA regulations.
  • Train customer operators and technicians on equipment operation, safety protocols, and predictive maintenance best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze failure data, recommend design improvements, and contribute to root cause analysis reports.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, logistics, and compliance with international export regulations during field deployments.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, customer presentations, and performance metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proven ability to travel internationally (up to 75%) and work in diverse cultural and environmental conditions (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools, PLC programming, and industrial control systems (experience)
  • Experience with safety standards such as OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and confined space entry (experience)
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary security clearances and visas (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Honeywell product certifications (e.g., TFE731, HTS900 turbine engines) or OEM equivalents (GE, Rolls-Royce) (experience)
  • Experience in predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, thermography, or IoT sensors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex faults in Honeywell aerospace propulsion systems, building automation, and process control equipment using specialized test equipment
  • Execute scheduled maintenance and overhaul procedures, ensuring compliance with OEM manuals and regulatory requirements
  • Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Interface with customers to assess needs, provide technical recommendations, and deliver training sessions
  • Coordinate with supply chain for parts procurement and manage field service logistics efficiently
  • Update service management software with accurate data for warranty claims and performance tracking
  • Support new product introductions by validating installations and providing field feedback to R&D teams
