Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and system assessments to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and recommend upgrades for energy efficiency.
  • Program and configure DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems using tools like Honeywell's WEBs-N4 or ComfortPoint platforms.
  • Train end-users and facility staff on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Document all service activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate records in Honeywell's service management software.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing DDC systems, PLCs, and networked control architectures (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75% within the Western U.S. (experience)
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and obtain necessary security clearances (experience)
  • Strong safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Building Automation (experience)
  • Niagara N4 certification or Honeywell WEBs certification (experience)
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on complex building automation systems to minimize downtime
  • Install field devices, controllers, and cabling while adhering to NEC codes and best practices
  • Calibrate sensors, actuators, and HVAC equipment for optimal system performance and energy savings
  • Develop and implement control strategies using graphical programming tools and logic editors
  • Respond to emergency service calls 24/7, providing rapid resolution for critical building systems
  • Generate detailed service reports, as-built drawings, and recommendations for system enhancements
  • Mentor junior technicians and collaborate on large-scale projects across multiple sites
