Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate mechanical components and sub-assemblies for aircraft systems using precision hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Perform functional and environmental testing on assembled units to verify compliance with stringent aerospace standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and adherence to engineering specifications.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to maintain top-tier quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly discrepancies, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions in our quality management system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following 5S principles and Honeywell's safety protocols to uphold operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimizations.

  • Experience with aircraft component assembly or testing in a certified facility (e.g., EASA, FAA) (experience)
  • Certifications such as IPC-A-610 for electronics assembly or aerospace-specific torque verification (experience)
  • German and English language proficiency (B2 level or higher) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble complex mechanical sub-assemblies and final products using hand tools, fixtures, and automated equipment per work instructions
  • Execute pressure, vibration, and functional tests on flight hardware to ensure reliability under extreme conditions
  • Inspect components for defects and conformance using precision measurement tools and document results in digital quality systems
  • Identify and report non-conformances, participating in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools, adhering to material handling procedures and FIFO principles
  • Support production ramp-ups by cross-training on multiple assembly stations and optimizing workflows
  • Contribute to team huddles and kaizen events to drive process improvements and efficiency gains
