Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission Honeywell SAS and SCADA systems at customer facilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on control systems to minimize downtime in 24/7 operations.
  • Configure software and hardware components, including PLCs, HMIs, and safety instrumented systems, per project specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and FAT/SAT testing to validate system performance and compliance with industry standards like IEC 61511.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and clients, to deliver tailored solutions and technical support.
  • Document all service activities, generate reports, and provide training to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency service calls, applying root cause analysis to resolve complex field issues efficiently.

As a Graduate Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, in Asker, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and configuring Honeywell Industrial Control & Safety, (SAS), systems and Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, (SCADA), Systems in the energy, offshore, oil & gas, chemical, and manufacturing markets.   • Eligibility to work in Norway and willingness to travel internationally up to 3 weeks per month (experience)
  • Basic understanding of PLC programming, SCADA systems, or safety instrumented systems (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary security clearances for industrial sites (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering field (experience)
  • Internship or co-op experience in oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing sectors (experience)
  • Certifications such as ISA CAP, TUV Functional Safety, or Honeywell-specific training (experience)

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and upgrades on control systems to ensure 99.9% uptime and compliance with safety standards
  • Conduct field testing, including loop checks, FAT/SAT, and commissioning to validate system integrity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using root cause analysis and advanced diagnostic tools
  • Provide on-site training and technical support to client operators and maintenance teams
  • Document service activities, prepare detailed reports, and update system documentation for knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to support customer proposals and ongoing projects
