Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and test hardware components for R&D projects using CAD tools and simulation software.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping through academic projects, internships, or capstone work (experience)
  • Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles (experience)
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers (experience)
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in an international Honeywell location (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (experience)
  • Internship or co-op experience in hardware engineering or R&D at a tech/manufacturing firm (experience)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC for PCB design or ISO 9001 for quality management (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and simulate hardware schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer or KiCad
  • Build and test prototypes of embedded systems, sensors, and control hardware for R&D applications
  • Perform signal integrity analysis, thermal testing, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
  • Analyze test data using MATLAB or Python to iterate designs and improve performance metrics
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including BOMs, datasheets, and design verification reports
  • Support innovation initiatives by researching emerging technologies like edge computing hardware
