Hand Finisher - Level 1 (Ruční kompletář/ka)

Location: Yecla, Murcia, Spain | Workplace: On-site

Overview

As a Hand Finisher - Level 1 at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in our Advanced Materials division, ensuring the highest levels of product quality and precision through meticulous finishing work on precision components. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you’ll work out of our state-of-the-art facility in Yecla, Murcia, Spain, on a fully on-site schedule. In this hands-on position, you will contribute to innovative aerospace and industrial solutions by performing detailed manual finishing tasks that meet Honeywell's rigorous standards for safety, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise hand finishing operations on metal and composite components, including deburring, polishing, sanding, and edge breaking to achieve exact tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, air tools, and bench equipment safely while adhering to Honeywell's Lean Six Sigma manufacturing principles.
  • Identify and report defects or non-conformances, collaborating with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following 5S methodologies and safety protocols to support efficient production flow.
  • Assist in process improvements by providing feedback on tooling and techniques to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Document work processes and complete production records accurately in our digital manufacturing system.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) (experience)
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and hand tools (experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for fine finishing work (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational certification in precision machining or composite finishing (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision industries with knowledge of AS9100 quality standards (experience)
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute hand finishing tasks including deburring, polishing, and surface blending on aerospace components to meet micron-level tolerances
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using calibrated tools, documenting results to ensure 100% quality compliance
  • Safely operate pneumatic tools, grinders, and sanders while following lockout/tagout and PPE protocols
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to troubleshoot finishing issues and propose process optimizations
  • Maintain production logs and ERP system entries for traceability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support inventory management by organizing tools and materials in a 5S-compliant workstation
  • Participate in team huddles and kaizen events to drive efficiency and reduce cycle times
