Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and digital circuits, PCBs, and embedded hardware systems using industry-standard tools.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping for high-reliability applications in aerospace and industrial environments.
  • Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and validation including signal integrity, power integrity, and environmental stress screening.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate hardware components into full product solutions.
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance efforts with standards like DO-160, IPC, and RoHS.
  • Optimize designs for performance, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability in line with Honeywell's innovation goals.
  • Support production ramp-up, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development for industrial or aerospace applications (experience)
  • Proven expertise in analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, and hardware prototyping (experience)
  • Experience with hardware testing, debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers), and validation methodologies (experience)
  • Familiarity with design standards such as IPC-2221, DO-160, and EMC/EMI compliance (experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering reliable hardware solutions (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Certifications in PCB design (e.g., Altium Certified Designer) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience with high-speed design, RF hardware, or embedded systems in regulated industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and simulate analog and mixed-signal circuits using tools like LTSpice, Altium Designer, or Cadence Allegro
  • Develop multi-layer PCB layouts optimized for signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability
  • Execute comprehensive hardware bring-up, testing, and qualification including environmental and reliability tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and integrate with firmware/software
  • Perform design reviews, DFMEA, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Analyze field failures, implement corrective actions, and drive yield improvements in manufacturing
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technology roadmaps for future product generations
