We are seeking a dynamic IA VE/CE Sourcing Leader to join our global sourcing team. In this pivotal role, you will drive Value Engineering (VE) and Cost Engineering (CE) initiatives across Intelligent Automation (IA) product lines, optimizing supply chain costs, enhancing product value, and ensuring competitive sourcing strategies. Reporting to the Global Sourcing Director, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, implement innovative sourcing practices, and support Honeywell's commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead VE/CE projects to analyze product designs, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement value-improving alternatives without compromising quality or performance.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IA components, negotiating with global suppliers to achieve 10-20% cost savings annually.
  • Conduct should-cost modeling, teardown analyses, and benchmarking to drive supplier performance and innovation.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and procurement teams to integrate VE/CE principles early in the product lifecycle.
  • Manage supplier relationships, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Honeywell's ethical sourcing standards.
  • Track and report VE/CE metrics, utilizing data analytics to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior sourcing professionals and champion best practices in value engineering across the organization.

  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or value/cost engineering within manufacturing or technology industries (experience)
  • Proven track record in VE/CE methodologies, including should-cost analysis and design-to-cost initiatives (experience)
  • Experience in Intelligent Automation, Industrial Automation, or related high-tech sectors (experience)
  • Strong negotiation skills with a history of achieving significant cost reductions (experience)
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% and manage global supplier networks (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or Six Sigma Black Belt (experience)
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement Cloud (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional VE/CE workshops to redesign components and processes for optimal cost and value
  • Perform supplier teardowns and competitive benchmarking to identify innovation opportunities
  • Negotiate long-term agreements with strategic suppliers to secure volume discounts and supply assurance
  • Develop data-driven sourcing roadmaps aligned with IA product development timelines
  • Monitor market trends in automation components to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
  • Implement digital tools for cost modeling and supplier performance tracking
  • Drive sustainability initiatives in sourcing, such as reducing carbon footprint through supplier selection
